Founded in 2016 by Mariah Koskinas, Mk9 protection dogs fast became a household name in the county of West Yorkshire. Uk. For the sourcing, training and supplying of elite family protection dogs.

In an ever changing world where the safety and security of our families is often compromised, a slower response time from our emergency services and a world where people no longer fear CCTV we understand the importance of protecting what we work hard for.
Experience
In 2019 our director Mariah fell victim to a violent burglary all while being a woman living alone, if it wasn't for Mariah's personal protection dog Saxon the Doberman, the perpetrator would have succeeded in his attempt to physically use brute force against Mariah to enter the property.
Not only did Saxon defend Mariah, he was sure to secure the premises after and provide her with comfort and reassurance long after the attack.
So what makes us so different? An understanding of personal security needs from a female perspective. The protection dog industry is a heavily male dominated one, with most trainers being men with security backgrounds its hard to gain female perspective and understand certain vulnerabilities therefore we feel that sets us apart from that of our competitors. A real life experience that fuels our passion!
A family protection dog company wouldn't be that without understanding the importance of FAMILY VALUES. Mariah's passion for dog training was also fuelled heavily by her parents Nick & Lorraine Koskinas.
The Koskinas family have dedicated over 20 years to the, training, breeding & exhibiting of German Shepherd dogs. Nick having competed in 2 world championships in the dog sport of IGP (formerly schutzhund) & Lorraine as a canine nutritionist and manager in canine welfare & husbandry.

Success
Our success goes beyond supplying family protection dogs, we have also been very fortunate as to have bred dogs that have also succeeded and placed extremely well in the sporting world. One of which being our most recent home bred male German shepherd, Kieztamarx Daxamite at Brueckwasser placing top 18th in the world individually at the World championships in the sport of IGP, as well as representing the Great Britain team a commendable 3 times in his sporting career his most recent world championships being Hungary 2023.
